A: Conductor Class.

  • KVV: Rigid (Class 1 or 2). Hard to bend.

  • KVVR: Flexible (Class 5). Fine-stranded copper. Mandatory for tight instrument panels and small bending radii.

Q: Outdoor Installation?

A: Requires Conduit. Standard PVC is not UV-stabilized. Direct sunlight exposure will degrade the insulation. Must be routed inside pipes or protective channels.

Q: Is it Shielded?

A: No. Standard KVVR is unshielded. For EMI/RFI noise immunity, specify model KVVRP (includes Copper Braid Shield).

 

Q: Drag Chain / Robotics Use?

 A: Prohibited. KVVR is designed for Static Flexibility (routing only). For continuous dynamic motion (millions of cycles), upgrade to TRVV (Towline Cable).

 

Q: Core Identification Method?

A: Standard Coding:

  • ≤ 5 Cores: Color-coded insulation.

  • > 5 Cores: Black insulation with White Numbering for easy circuit tracing.
