    Covered Aluminum Line Wire Weatherproof : Product Description and Specifications

Engineered specifically for overhead secondary distribution, this series utilizes 1350-H19, 6201-T81, or ACSR conductors encased in a weather-resistant polymer jacket (PE, HDPE, or XLPE). Nota crítica de seguridad: The covering provides mechanical shielding against atmospheric corrosion and abrasion only; it is strictly not electrically insulated. Field crews must treat this product as a bare conductor at all times to ensure operational safety, as the polymer layer offers zero dielectric containment voltage.

    Covered Aluminum Line Wire Weatherproof : Benefits and Features

  • Transient Fault Barrier: Not insulation. Acts as physical shield against momentary phase-to-phase contact (clashing) or vegetation touches. Prevents immediate arc-faults.

  • Atmospheric Sealing: Polymer jacket blocks UV radiation and saline mist. Resultado: Zero galvanic corrosion on the aluminum core.

  • Span Geometry: Retains high strength-to-weight ratio (ACSR/Alloy base). Engineering benefit: Supports extended pole spacing unlike fully insulated aerial cables.

 A: Negative. The polymer covering is a mechanical shield only. It holds zero dielectric rating.
