Product Description
N2XSEY/NA2XSEY : Product Description and Specifications
The N2XSY (Copper) and NA2XSY (Aluminum) series are your go-to cables for the Medium Voltage (MV) grid—anything from 3.6kV up to 35kV. Here’s the critical part: Since it’s MV, we wrap the XLPE insulation with a Copper Wire Screen. This isn’t optional—it manages the electric field stress and handles fault currents to keep the system safe. Your choice: Need standard protection? Stick with the PVC sheath. Running it in wet ground? Upgrade to PE (Polyethylene) to seal out moisture completely.

Advantages
N2XSEY/NA2XSEY : Benefits and Features
6/10kV Ready: Built strictly to VDE and IEC standards. No guessing.
Copper or Aluminum: Your call. Go Copper for performance or Aluminum to save the budget.
Real Screening: Copper wire screen + semi-con layers. Essential for managing electric field stress (so it doesn’t fail).
XLPE Insulation: Tough stuff. Survives 250°C short circuit spikes without melting.
Install Anywhere: Underground, ducts, or outdoors. The PVC/PE sheath takes the beating.
Safety First: The copper screen ensures you have solid earthing protection.

Production Processes Of Power cable
To ensure superior quality, JOCA operates fully digitalized and automated production lines for power cables. Specifically, this comprehensive workflow covers conductor stranding, insulation extrusion, metallic screening, and final sheathing. Moreover, intelligent systems actively monitor each stage to ensure stable performance and consistent product quality. In addition, the factory utilizes advanced testing facilities, such as partial discharge testing, tensile testing, and spark testing. Consequently, these rigorous measures guarantee that every delivered cable strictly meets international standards.
Packing For Shipment
To meet various transportation needs, there are many methods of packaging that can be used.
Have more questions?
Q: What does "N2XSEY" actually mean?
A: It’s just VDE shorthand. Here’s the cheat sheet:
2X = XLPE Insulation.
S = Copper Screen (Crucial for MV).
Y = PVC Jacket.
E = Bedding layer.
Q: N2XSEY vs. NA2XSEY: The difference?
A: Simple. N2XSEY is Copper. NA2XSEY (with the ‘A’) is Aluminum. Copper carries more current; Aluminum saves you money.
Q: Why use XLPE instead of PVC insulation?
A: Heat tolerance. PVC quits at 70°C. XLPE runs happily at 90°C. That extra headroom means you can push significantly more power through the line without melting it.
Q: Why does it need those screens?
A: To stop it from blowing up. The semi-con layers keep the electric field smooth so the insulation doesn’t fail. The Copper Screen? That’s your safety path for earth faults. Don’t run MV without it.
Q: Where can I install this?
A: Indoors, ducts, or underground—it’s versatile. But be careful: It has no armor. If you bury it directly, lay it in soft sand. Don’t let rocks crush it.
Q: What standards do you follow?
A: We don’t mess around with high voltage. It’s built strictly to IEC 60502-2 and VDE 0276-620.
Q: How tight can I bend it?
A: 15x the Diameter. Respect that number. If you force a tighter bend, you’ll crack the screen or the insulation, and the cable will fail.
Q: Can I get a different color?
A: Sure. Red is standard, but if you need Black or Flame Retardant (FR) PVC for a specific project, just tell us. We’ll extrude it to order.
