Production Processes Of UL cable
JOCA produces UL wires using a fully automated workflow. The cycle synchronizes copper drawing and stranding with precise PVC or XLPE extrusion. Instead of waiting for post-production checks, we employ continuous inline monitoring—using laser diameter gauges and spark testers to catch defects instantly. For multi-core variants, the line handles cabling, shielding, and jacketing to exact specifications. Before shipping, every batch faces final electrical and mechanical inspections to verify full compliance with UL standards.
Packing For Shipment
To meet various transportation needs, there are many methods of packaging that can be used.
Have more questions?
Q: What are the specific application limits for R90 cable?
A: Dry Locations / Raceways. Designed for general-purpose wiring in conduits and raceways. Prohibited for use in ventilated cable troughs or wet environments.
Q: What is the critical difference between R90 and RW90?
A: Moisture Resistance.
R90: Dry Locations Only.
RW90: Dry & Wet Locations. (Choose RW90 for underground runs or areas exposed to moisture).
Q: What does the designation "R90" actually stand for?
A: Thermoset Insulation Rating.
R: Rubber / Thermoset family (XLPE).
90: Rated for continuous operation at 90°C.
Q: Which insulation material is used in this series?
A: XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene). Provides superior thermal stability and deformation resistance compared to standard PVC.
Q: What voltage ratings are available?
A: 600V / 1000V / 2000V. Covers standard residential, commercial, and industrial power distribution needs.
Q: Are the conductors Copper or Aluminum?
A: Standard: Annealed Copper (Solid or Stranded).
Note: Aluminum conductors available upon specific OEM request.
Q: Can R90 be installed in ventilated cable trays?
A: Generally No. R90 is engineered for enclosed raceways and conduits. For cable tray applications, verify specific jacket listings or upgrade to RW90 with “Tray Rated” specs.
Q: Which compliance standards does this cable meet?
A: CSA C22.2 No. 38. (Thermoset-Insulated Wires and Cables). Fully compliant with Canadian Electrical Code requirements for dry environments.
