Q: What is this wire used for?

Q: UL1581 vs. UL758: What's the difference?

A: Think of it this way:

  • UL758: The “Catalog.” It defines the specific Style (like Style 1007 or 1015).

  • UL1581: The “Test Lab.” It defines how we test the wire (Flame tests, flexibility, aging). When we say “Meets UL1581,” we mean it passed the physical stress tests.

Q: Is it flame retardant?

A: Yes, VW-1 Rated. It passes the UL1581 Vertical Wire Flame Test. If the wire catches fire, it will self-extinguish shortly after the flame is removed, preventing fire spread.
