Production Processes Of Control cable
Control cables are manufactured via pressure extrusion to lock in PVC density. Quality control goes beyond standard metrics: we conduct mandatory oil resistance and bending tests on each production lot. This verifies actual performance against IEC specs, ensuring durability in real-world automation environments.
Packing For Shipment
To meet various transportation needs, there are many methods of packaging that can be used.
Have more questions?
Q: What’s the real difference between this and a cheaper unshielded cable?
A: Think of unshielded cable like an open window—noise gets right in. If you run that near a motor or VFD, your signal is going to crash. This cable? It has a metal copper braid wrapping the wires. It acts like a cage. Noise hits the shield and stops there. So, if you care about data stability, don’t cheap out on the shielding.
Q: Why use Copper Braid instead of that foil stuff?
A: Foil is okay for static wires, but it tears. Seriously. If you bend a foil-shielded cable a few times during installation, the foil cracks inside, and your protection is gone. Our braided copper is actual woven wire. It flexes. It lasts. That’s why we use it.
Q: Can I put this inside a moving drag chain (robot arm)?
A: I wouldn’t recommend it. It handles vibration fine, but it’s not built for constant, high-speed bending 24/7. It’ll eventually wear out. For robot arms, you need our specific “High-Flex Chain” cable. For regular machine wiring that just sits there? This is perfect.
Q:Is the orange jacket okay for outdoor use?
A: Nope. Don’t do it. The orange PVC is great for oil and chemicals inside the shop, but the sun will eat it alive. UV rays make standard PVC brittle in a few months. If you need to go outdoors, ask us for the Black UV-resistant version instead.
Q:Is it hard to strip? Some shielded cables are a nightmare.
A: We fixed that. You know how the shield sometimes gets stuck to the inner wires? We put a specific “bedding” layer in between. So when you strip the jacket, the shield separates clean. Your electricians will thank you for saving them time.
Q: What voltage can I run through this?
A: It’s rated for 300V to 500V, depending on the thickness. Basically, it handles all standard control signals and sensor power without issues. Just don’t try to use it as a main power line for a huge machine—it’s for the “brain” of the system, not the muscle.
Q: Can I get a different color? I don't want Orange.
A: Yeah, we do custom all the time. Orange is just the most popular for visibility. But if you need Grey, Black, or Blue to match your machine, just tell us. We can even print your company name on the side if you order enough quantity.
Q : Can I get a sample first?
A: Of course. I wouldn’t buy a cable without seeing it either. Send us a message with your address, and we’ll ship a short piece. You need to feel the flexibility and check the copper quality yourself before committing to a bulk order.
