Product Description
N2XS(FL)2Y/NA2XS(FL)2Y : Product Description and Specifications
This Medium Voltage series (up to 36kV) integrates a Radial Water-Blocking system. The construction utilizes a Bonded Aluminum-Polyethylene (Al-PE) laminate sheath. Unlike standard loose sheathing, bonding the aluminum tape directly to the MDPE outer jacket creates a hermetic moisture barrier. This specific assembly effectively seals the XLPE core against water ingress in high-humidity underground environments, while the MDPE layer provides mechanical abrasion resistance.

Advantages
N2XS(FL)2Y/NA2XS(FL)2Y : Benefits and Features
Magnetic Neutrality (AWA): Eliminates eddy current heating. Unlike steel armor, Aluminum remains non-magnetic in single-core AC fields. Result: No energy loss; no cable overheating.
High Tensile Strength: The “Wire” armor construction supports heavy vertical loads. Result: Safe for high-drop installations (e.g., mine shafts, risers) where tape armor would fail.
Thermal Headroom (90°C): XLPE insulation handles higher operating temps than PVC (70°C). Result: Safety margin for emergency overloads or peak usage spikes.
Project Optimization (NA2XSR): Option to specify Aluminum conductors. Result: Reduces cable weight by ~30% and significantly cuts material CAPEX.
