The UL1007 is the industry workhorse for the internal wiring of electronic equipment. Instead of generic insulation, JOCA uses a high-grade PVC compound formulated to strip cleanly for automated termination while resisting oil and heat up to 80°C. This single-core wire carries dual certification—meeting UL758, UL1581, and CSA C22.2 No.210.2 standards simultaneously. It provides a compliant, universally accepted solution for low-voltage panel building and appliance repair.

  • Routing Friendly: The flexible stranded structure bends easily inside cramped chassis or control panels. It doesn’t “fight” your routing path or kink during installation.

Instead of waiting for post-production checks, we employ continuous inline monitoring—using laser diameter gauges and spark testers to catch defects instantly. For multi-core variants, the line handles cabling, shielding, and jacketing to exact specifications. Before shipping, every batch faces final electrical and mechanical inspections to verify full compliance with UL standards.

Q: What is this wire primarily used for?

 A: Internal wiring. It connects components inside the “box.” You’ll find it in control panels, household appliances, and circuit board jumpers. It is the industry standard for general low-voltage (300V) connections.

 

Q: UL1007 vs. UL1015: What's the difference?

A: Don’t mix them up.

  • UL1007: Rated 300V. Thinner insulation. Best for tight spaces and signal wires.

  • UL1015: Rated 600V. Thicker insulation. Best for higher voltage power input lines.

Q: Can I use it outdoors?

A: No. Keep it inside. The PVC insulation isn’t built for direct UV sunlight or rain. It will crack over time. For outdoor use, you need a different jacket (like PE or Rubber).

 

Q: Is it easy to strip and process?

A: Yes. The PVC jacket is semi-rigid. It cuts cleanly and slides off without stretching or gumming up your wire strippers. This makes it perfect for automated cutting/crimping machines.

 

Q: How tough is the insulation (Oil/Fire)?

 A:

  • Oil: Resists incidental contact (like greasy fingers), but don’t submerge it.

  • Fire: VW-1 Rated. It self-extinguishes immediately if a flame is removed, preventing small electrical faults from becoming big fires.

Q: Solid vs. Stranded conductor: Which one is this?

A: We mostly supply Stranded Tinned Copper. Stranded wires bend easily without breaking, making them ideal for routing inside cramped electronic cases. (Solid core is available upon request for breadboarding).

 

Q: How much Current (Amps) can it handle?

A: It depends on the AWG size.

  • 16 AWG: Approx 24 Amps.

  • 24 AWG: Approx 7 Amps.

  • Note: Always check the specific datasheets, as ambient temperature affects these limits.

Q: Need a specific color or cut length?
