Product Description
UL1015 : Product Description and Specifications
Think of UL1015 as the heavy-duty upgrade to standard electronic wire. While common wires stop at 300V, UL1015 features a thicker PVC insulation wall (approx. 0.8mm), boosting its rating to 600V AC. This extra thickness doesn’t just block electricity; it provides physical armor against oil splashes, mechanical abrasion, and vibration inside machinery.
Designed for the “hot zones” of electrical cabinets and power supplies, it is rated to withstand 105°C (far exceeding the standard 80°C limit). Whether you are wiring rectifiers, transformers, or industrial panels, this wire meets strict UL758, UL1581, and CSA C22.2 safety protocols for high-voltage internal connections

Production Processes Of UL cable
JOCA produces UL wires using a fully automated workflow. The cycle synchronizes copper drawing and stranding with precise PVC or XLPE extrusion. Instead of waiting for post-production checks, we employ continuous inline monitoring—using laser diameter gauges and spark testers to catch defects instantly. For multi-core variants, the line handles cabling, shielding, and jacketing to exact specifications. Before shipping, every batch faces final electrical and mechanical inspections to verify full compliance with UL standards.
Packing For Shipment
To meet various transportation needs, there are many methods of packaging that can be used.
Have more questions?
Q: UL1007 vs. UL1015: Which one do I need?
A: Check your Voltage Requirement.
UL1007: Rated 300V. Thinner wall. Good for low-voltage signals.
UL1015: Rated 600V. Thicker wall (approx 0.8mm). Required for Power Supply inputs and high-voltage internal wiring.
Q: Is it safe for power supply internals?
A: Yes. This is its main job. Because of the 600V rating and VW-1 Flame Resistance, it is standard for the “Primary Side” (high voltage side) of power units and rectifiers.
Q: Can it handle oil?
A: Splash resistant? Yes. It handles machine oil splatters in workshops. Submersion? No. If the wire sits in a tank of hot oil, switch to Teflon (FEP) or XLPE wire.
Q: Will it jam my stripping machine?
A: No. The PVC jacket is engineered to be non-sticky. It cuts cleanly and slides off the conductor, ensuring high-speed automated processing without gumming up the blades.
Q: Bare Copper or Tinned Copper?
A: We strongly recommend Tinned Copper. It costs slightly more but resists oxidation (turning black) and is much easier to solder than bare copper.
Q: What are the temperature limits?
A: It is rated for 105°C (Hot). This is significantly higher than the standard 80°C of UL1007, making it safer for crowded, hot cabinets.
Q: Is it actually UL listed?
A: Yes. It carries dual certification: UL AWM Style 1015 and CSA TEW. You will find the file numbers printed directly on the wire insulation for inspection.
Q: Need custom colors or cut lengths?
A: Don’t struggle with standard spools if they don’t fit. Hit the “Contact Us” button. Tell us your required length and color (Stripes? Solid?), and we’ll get you a quote.
